Ample Entertainment creates YouTube channel with interior designer Nate Berkus

LA-based unscripted prodco Ample Entertainment is launching a YouTube channel with interior designer and author Nate Berkus.

According to Ample Entertainment, the channel, called Nate Berkus Presents, “will take Berkus beyond traditional design formats, using homes, spaces and the people behind them as a foundation for entertaining, personality-driven storytelling.

“The initial slate will include Berkus exploring unexpected and unconventional spaces in New York City, alongside additional original formats that will lean into his design expertise and ability to connect with a wide-ranging audience.”

The first eight episodes are set to film in New York this month, with the channel expected to launch later in the fall.

The channel will operate as a standalone YouTube destination built around Berkus, with programming also featured on Ample Originals, Ample Entertainment’s recently launched YouTube channel.

Ample Entertainment said the deal is part of its strategy to build and own original IP for digital platforms while partnering directly with established talent and creators to develop new entertainment brands.

“Creators with a real point of view, an authentic relationship with their audience and the ability to build a world around their craft are becoming their own media businesses,” said Ari Mark, CEO of Ample Entertainment.

“Nate has already built that kind of brand. What’s exciting for us is the opportunity to combine his authority and creative instincts with what Ample does best as a studio and build original IP together from the ground up.”
